Experiences cultivated by people

The ceremony was headed by the Governor Pablo Silva, the Undersecretary of Tourism Verónica Pardo, the National Director of Sernatur Cristóbal Benítez, the assistant manager of Corfo Alicia Olivares, the national assistant director of INDAP César Rodríguez and the president of Enoturismo Chile Claudio Cilveti, together with regional authorities, wine associations, academic institutions, municipalities and representatives of the wine tourism ecosystem.
The awards are developed under the slogan “Experiences cultivated by people”, highlighting the human dimension that characterises Chilean wine tourism.
This vision has been promoted by Corfo's Enotourism Chile Programme, which for eight years has strengthened the sector through public-private articulation, professionalisation, quality standards and international visibility, allowing Chile to compete today with consolidated wine tourism destinations in the world.
Holding this ceremony in the O'Higgins Region is no coincidence. The territory is experiencing an exceptional moment, with the Cachapoal Valley emerging strongly as a growing wine tourism destination and several regional wineries obtaining international recognition, including the recent award given to Viña VIK in global rankings.
Excellence in Enogastronomic Proposal
This edition was made possible thanks to a territorial alliance promoted by the Regional Government of O'Higgins, together with Sernatur, INDAP, the Cachapoal Wine Route, INACAP, the University of Talca, and the municipalities of Rengo and Malloa, consolidating a collaborative model that promotes tourism and productive development in the territory.
The ceremony also included a special recognition for Excellence in Enogastronomic Proposal, a distinction awarded to Lomas de Llahuén, for its outstanding integration of peasant cuisine, rural identity and local products in a deeply territorial experience.
The award was presented by the president of the Chilean Gastronomy Association (ACHIGA), Máximo Picallo, together with the general manager Eduardo Regonessi, consisting of a Gift Card for gastronomic equipment, which will strengthen the development of its culinary proposal and further project the gastronomy of the drylands as a living heritage of the country.
For the president of Enoturismo Chile, Claudio Cilveti, “these awards reflect the enormous progress that Chilean wine tourism has made in recent years. Today we have more than 219 wineries officially open to wine tourism, and this work is crowned in this fourth version, which recognises those who are raising the country's standards in identity, hospitality and innovation. We are deeply grateful for the public and regional support, especially from the O'Higgins Region and the Cachapoal Valley, whose commitment has been key to the projection of the sector,” he said.
The event ended with a gastronomic sample prepared by the INACAP Rancagua and Curicó teams, who presented a proposal of products from the mountains to the sea of the O'Higgins Region, highlighting traditional knowledge, local cuisine and the use of emblematic ingredients that reflect the local culinary identity.
