Curicó is once again setting the standard on the national wine calendar with the staging of the XXXVII edition of the Harvest Festival, organised jointly by the I. Municipalidad de Curicó, the Curicó Cultural Corporation and the Curicó Wine Route.

A celebration which, almost four decades after its creation, reaffirms its position as the oldest and one of the most attended in the country.

In 2025, the festival took a strategic step by becoming one of the eight national harvest festivals to be awarded the Harvest Seal, a recognition granted by Enoturismo Chile to events that meet standards for organisational quality, territorial identity, and visitor experience.

The current edition, which will take place next 20, 21 and 22 March 2026, it will be held for the second year in La Granja Park, a new location that was successfully debuted in its previous version, as it not only allowed for an increase in the event's capacity but also consolidated a safer and more functional environment, like a true family outing.

The change was widely appreciated by the public, reinforcing the civic and cross-cutting nature of the celebration.

Furthermore, the 2026 version re-incorporates a relevant international component: Mexico is the guest country., strengthening cultural and wine exchange between both territories and projecting the Curicó Valley onto a global stage.

Celebration with history

A tradition that began 40 years ago, as the Curicó Grape Harvest Festival was born in 1986, driven by the Spanish oenologist Miguel A. Torres – who, incidentally, will be attending this important celebration for the wine world – with the vision of integrating Chilean and Spanish traditions around wine.

Over the decades, it transformed into the country's oldest wine celebration and one of the most attended events in the national calendar.

The 37th version promises a great cultural, gastronomic, and artisan space for the whole community, highlighting the great Wine Square, where a large part of the region's vineyards will be present, along with a varied culinary offering and samples of local crafts.

This year, over the three days, the festival will bring together partner wineries from the Curicó Wine Route, such as Aresti, Requingua, Miguel Torres, Korta, Raíces, Viñedos Puertas, Valdivieso, San Pedro, AltaCima, Pajo Wine and Patacón Winery, which, along with other invited wineries from the Maule Region, will offer tastings and direct sales, reaffirming the sector's commitment to this great civic festival.

Furthermore, the already well-known Premium Wine Bar will feature novel gastronomic and cultural activations that will surprise all visitors.

Added to this are a folk festival with well-known local groups, along with national and international shows by artists such as Pedro Aznar, Los Bunkers, Jorge Alís, Santa Feria and María José Quintanilla, consolidating a high-level and transversal roster.

The celebration also includes local gastronomy, folklore, and typical, high-quality crafts, all designed for the entertainment of the whole family, consolidating a cross-cutting event that combines tradition with global projection.

Revealing the identity

As part of its traditional milestones, the Curicó Grape Harvest Festival maintains rituals deeply rooted in local identity:

  • Vintage Queen Election and its traditional weighing with wine bottles.
  • Appointment of the Grape Harvest Godmother, Who is gifted the traditional silver Cata Vinos?.
  • The Proclamation of Wine, who this year will be in charge of the renowned chef Guillermo Rodríguez, representative of the Les Toques Blanches Association, who will kick off this grand civic celebration.
  • Blessing of the First Must.
  • Grape Stomping Competition.
  • Fountain of Wine with 500 litres to be shared with the community.

The 37th edition of the celebration is set to be a true celebration of our Chilean roots, our people, and of course, the wine that unites us.

Thus, with almost four decades of history, the Sello Vendimia awarded by Enoturismo Chile, and an international outlook that strengthens year by year, the Curicó Harvest Festival reaffirms its role as the historical capital of harvest festivals in Chile.
