About Pisco el Gobernador In 1928 in Penedès Spain, Juan Torres Casals began distilling his wines to make brandy. 84 years later, this experience led Miguel Torres Maczassek to make the winery's first Pisco in Chile. Its image features a bottle made especially for this Pisco, with a Bartop cork closure and a lime green label that presents the story of the Governor of Ovalle, Felipe Margutt Donaire, who distinguished himself in the Battle of Maipú in 1818 where Chile's Independence was finally sealed.
