This new international recognition demonstrates the philosophy of this family winery founded by María Luz Marín, which from its beginnings in 2000 was an innovative winery, the first to establish itself in the Lo Abarca Valley, in San Antonio, in geographically extreme conditions.

Visionary decision that resulted in wines of extraordinary quality in a unique terroir that is reflected in the various awards they have won both nationally and internationally and this time was awarded by Wines of Chile Report, produced by the British Masters of Wine Susie Barrie and Peter Richards, obtaining this 2025 the recognition as a Best Chilean Producer.

Among the outstanding scores this year is the Syrah Miramar 2015 which scored 98 points. Sauvignon Blanc Cipreses 2024, with 97 points and Riesling Miramar 2024, with 94 points.

Susie Barrie and Peter Richards have also been running the successful podcast "Wine Blast" in the UK since 2020, which is now listened to all over the world. In one of their broadcasts, they described Marilú Marín as The Royalty of Chilean Wine for his great trajectory, talent, professionalism, excellence and distinguished presence in the wine industry.

For Felipe Marín, the winery's winemaker, this new distinction represents the constancy and excellence reflected over the years. "It is a recognition to all our team and to the philosophy of my mother, María Luz, who 25 years ago projected what we are living and at the same time we have maintained it and integrated innovation and taken it forward. So it is very important to maintain the recognition, which is the reflection of constant work that is more difficult than bringing out new things, it is to maintain it over time".

New alliance

Faced with the challenges presented by the current scenario of the global wine industry, Casa Marín decided to innovate in marketing and create strategic alliances with other family wineries. An example of this is the collaborative project with Viña Clos de Luz.

This initiative has increased sales in Latin America and in the domestic market by more than 25%. Today Casa Marín is strengthening its presence in Latin America, the United States and Europe, with a special focus on Peru, Colombia, Brazil and Mexico, markets where the brand has achieved a solid position. And it does so by being the only vineyard in Chile. monopole with "Denomination of Origin" seal obtained in 2018.

In addition, they are closing a partnership with Bodega Durigutti from Mendoza, Argentina, to develop terroir wines who share the same family and sustainable philosophy.

Wine tourism development 2026

After the recent closure of the Bianco restaurant -which operated under concession-, the family will take over the gastronomy directly, with the aim of creating its own culinary experience, coherent with the style and values of the brand.

Next year will be a key year for the growth of the vineyard's wine tourism experience, as they plan to focus on hospitality by 2026.

"We will invest in the vineyard's tourism development: accommodation, landscaping and gastronomy, to make Casa Marín a complete destination where the spirit of family and wine is experienced," concludes Jamie Verbraak. For more information, please visit https://www.casamarin.cl
