With a renewed focus on the human stories that make Chilean wine tourism come alive, the fourth edition of the Oenotourism Awards ChileUnder the slogan "Experiences cultivated by people", this initiative seeks to highlight those proposals that best integrate authenticity, innovation and emotional connection with visitors in the country's wine valleys.

These awards - promoted by Corfo's Enoturismo Chile - aim to publicise and highlight the actions, practices and activities of the existing and emerging wine tourism offer, as well as the professionals in Chile's wine valleys.

In this new version, the focus will be on the recognition of authentic wine tourism experiences, close and deeply connected with the productive, cultural and territorial identity of each winery, awarding those innovative proposals, with a genuine story, personalised attention, family tradition and a real link with the environment.

"We are very pleased with this instance that allows us not only to make good wine tourism experiences visible, but also to highlight the diversity and experiences that we can have throughout all the territories. In this sense, with the awards we are recognising the soul of a sector that today is key to sustainable tourism. Each winner becomes an ambassador of our territory and its traditions," said the national director of Sernatur, Cristóbal Benítez.

For his part, the president of Enoturismo Chile, Claudio Cilveti, adds: "In this new edition we want to make visible that unique link between wine, its people and visitors. That is why we created the category 'Enotourism on a Human Scale', which will reward precisely those experiences with identity and genuine stories, and what better than to give it a distinctive seal of identity through people, who give life to everything that can be an experience".

"From Corfo we are very happy with this initiative, wine tourism has been a priority in the regions, important resources and instruments are being allocated to develop and give it visibility and this contest contributes directly to this" said the regional director of Corfo O'Higgins, Oscar Avila.

In its previous edition, 54 applications were received from the regions of Coquimbo to Biobío, resulting in winners for Best Wine Tourism Experience, Viña Concha y Toro", "Best Emerging Winery "Viña Prado" and "Best Wine Tourism Guide", María Ignacia Mery, who benefited from participation in international promotion fairs, training, audiovisual book, promotion of their offer in more than 140 regional and national media publications and institutional platforms, among others, and the leveraging of more than $40 million for their realisation.
