At an event held at the iconic Viña Concha y Toro, Corfo's Enoturismo Chile officially launched the Harvest Calendar 2025The event was a key milestone to promote the grape harvest festivities as a unique cultural and touristic experience. The event brought together national authorities, representatives of the wine valleys and key players in Chilean wine tourism.

This launch was accompanied by the presentation of the Manual of Good Practices "Fiestas de la Vendimia Chilewhich will make it possible to apply for the "Sello de Vendimias", marking a crucial step in the professionalisation and promotion of these festivities. The manual, the result of more than a year of collaborative work, includes 32 criteria organised into 6 areas to ensure standards of quality, sustainability, authenticity and cultural value in each festival.

The objective of the Manual of Good Practices is to serve as a reference guide for organisers, municipalities, wine routes and host communities committed to the development and promotion of these festivities. Those events that adopt and comply with these standards will be eligible to obtain the Wine Harvest Seal, a distinction that recognises the excellence of the festivities, boosting their visibility and competitiveness at national and international level. This initiative not only seeks to raise the quality of the celebrations, but also to promote knowledge of wine culture, local economic development, job creation and the strengthening of public-private collaboration.

The day also saw the presentation of the Harvest Map 2025a tool that allows the planning and visibility of the country's most important celebrations. To date, 30 events have been registered from the Pampa del Tamarugal to La Araucanía, including the traditional grape harvests in the main wine valleys and rural areas of the country. The map is available for download at www.enoturismochile.cl/descargas and will be updated weekly to ensure timely and up-to-date information for tourists and operators.

Claudio Cilveti, president of Enoturismo Chile, commented: "The work that we have led from Enoturismo Chile, in collaboration with the public and private sector, is a fundamental step in the promotion of wine tourism and the preservation of our wine traditions. Since 2019, the Harvest Map has been a key tool for the dissemination of these festivities. Today we are taking a significant leap forward with the presentation of the Good Practices Manual and the Harvest Seal, reaffirming our commitment to authenticity, excellence and sustainability. These actions consolidate the grape harvests as unique experiences that connect wine and tourism with our cultural identity."

For his part, Cristóbal Benítez, national director of Sernatur, emphasised that, "The grape harvest festivals are a great opportunity to extend the high tourist season and enhance the offer of central Chile. For the 2025 summer season (December 2024 to March 2025) we estimate that the total number of domestic tourism trips with overnight stays will fluctuate between 25.4 and 30.6 million".

Alejandra Inda, manager of Ruta del Vino Valles de Curicó, organisers of the Curicó Wine Harvest Festival, with its 35 versions the oldest and most traditional in Chile, said; "Having the Manual of Good Practices and the Harvest Seal is a fundamental guide to improve the quality of our festivities and their sustainability over time. This initiative not only improves the experience for visitors, but also fosters collaboration between local actors and highlights the wine heritage of each territory".

The day culminated with the Casillero del Diablo Night Tour, an experience that this year was awarded as the "Best Wine Tourism Experience" at the Chile 2024 Wine Tourism Awards. This experience invites visitors to immerse themselves in the legendary history of the winery under the mystical atmosphere of the night.

During the tour, participants explored the historic gardens of Viña Concha y Toro and the cellars where the legend of Casillero del Diablo was born, guided by a period character who shared stories and secrets of the place. The experience included wine tastings and concluded with a three-course dinner paired with different Casillero del Diablo wines, offering a complete immersion in Chilean wine culture.
